Nedile Lodge offers guests a truly African holiday experience. Nedile Lodge is only three hours north of Pretoria, and the Welgevonden Reserve is a declared Heritage Site of 36000 hectares (more than 80000 acres).
This true bushveld environment is home to some of Africa’s most sought after game species, including one of the largest collections of white rhino on private land. Other species housed within this reserve include elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, eland and many other varieties of antelope. There may even be the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the aardvark, brown hyena or rarely seen honey badger.

Additionally, guests will be treated to sightings of giraffe, zebra, eland, wildebeest and many other antelope varieties. Nedile is also the ideal place for nature lovers, and one may even get the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the aardvark, brown hyena or the rarely spotted honey badger.
This spectacular reserve is not only home to Africa’s magnificent Big 5, but also houses a vast array of bird and animal life, including giraffe, kudu, impala, wildebeest, red hartebeest, tsessebe, gemsbok, waterbuck and bush pigs.
Welgevonden is also a sanctuary for some of Africa’s rare and unusual animal species like the brown hyena, aardwolf, aardvark and honey badger – all best spotted during evening game drives
The diverse habitat on the reserve welcomes and provides for a wide range of animal and bird life. While the grassy plains of the reserve absolutely abound with antelope – from the largest eland to the most diminutive duiker – the cheetah, lion and leopard are also always close by.

The exclusive, 5-star Nedile Lodge accommodates 10 guests in 5 luxurious rooms positioned perfectly between rocky outcrops on a north-facing slope, all with breath taking views of the Waterberg Mountains
Two of the suites may be used as family units with an inter-leading entrance hall. Each suite at Nedile has been designed for complete privacy, relaxation and comfort, and has a private deck, fireplace, ceiling fan, indoor and outdoor showers, and an invitingly luxurious bathroom.
The main lodge at Nedile, with its African theme, comprises a bar, dining room and comfortable lounge, and invites guests to sit back, relax and take in the peace and tranquility of the surroundings, all while experiencing the warmth of South African hospitality.
Your stay at Nedile Lodge includes the following:
Accommodation: Luxury thatched en-suite chalets overlooking spectacular mountain views. Your room has its own fireplace, indoor & outdoor showers, as well as a bath. Each chalet leads out onto a private veranda with magnificent, uninterrupted views.
All Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, all teas and coffees.
Game Drives: Two game drives or bush walks per day, with an experienced Game Ranger.
The rate is also inclusive of VAT at 14%.

The activities on offer for all to enjoy. Game viewing in open vehicles as well as guided walks, afford guests the opportunity to get up-close and personal with some of Africa’s untamed and most majestic creatures, as well as the magnificent plant life which abounds in this region of the country. The reserve is well stocked with lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, rhino, elephant, zebra, giraffe and many other mammals, birds and trees.
It is not permitted to bring your own alcohol onto the premises. A fully equipped bar is available.

Due to the fact that Nedile is approximately 30 minute drive from the Welgevonden West Gate, alternative check in / out times can be arranged at additional cost of R150-00 per trip. Transport from Jhb International Airport to West Gate and helicopter transfers available on request.

NEDILE’S POLICY ON CHILDREN:
Children under the age of 10 (paying the full adult rate) are welcome only if a group booking is done. Special authorisation will be required from the owners of Nedile Lodge. Children are allowed on game drives, at the discretion of the Game Ranger. There are no baby-sitting facilities. Nedile Lodge accept no responsibility for children under the age of 10 years as there are no safety rails around the private decks and wild animals roam freely and could be a potential danger. The landscape has several precipices and special care needs to be taken insofar as children are concerned.
It is highly recommended that all guests take out comprehensive travel insurance including full medical cover, as well as cancellation and curtailment cover.
